Arriving in a new country with a family of 4 is always an unknown and stressful experience full of challenges and traps, starting with finding the right accommodation in the right location.

We considered few cities in Kansai and finally selected Kobe for its charm, its cosmopolite vibes, its convenience (25 minutes train to Osaka, my working place), its reputable international schools (St Michael is at 15 min walk)… and also because of the great service and support we received from Rica and her agency who made everything smooth and easy.

The team at Core Eight speaks perfectly English (which is not common in real estate companies here!) and understand the concerns and needs of foreigners intending to relocate to Japan. The support was not limited to finding the right apartment but covered all areas of the expatriation (schools, transportation, administrative procedures, grocery, medical etc.). Before, during and after moving-in we know we can always contact the team should we have any question on how things work in Japan and Kobe, they will help with relevant the advices and support.

Kobe is an amazing city full of hidden treasures and we are very happy of the choice we made, especially the Kitano area. It’s a safe and peaceful sanctuary with a village atmosphere, a local life, cute small coffee places and restaurants, little streets like in a European village,  places to explore and explore again without getting bored. Meantime it’s few minutes walk/train from vibrant city centers.

In a nutshell we recommend Kobe to anyone planning to relocate to the region and looking for a friendly place to acclimate smoothly in Japan. If this is your choice then Core Eight is THE company to make it happen without hassle.
